breakthesilence.dyndns.org/ FUTURE was founded in September 2009 following the death of Danny Talbot. Danny was the son of Linda Lamb one of 9 children born to her. Linda suffered severe mental health problems, causing her to be incapable of caring for and rearing her family. One by one they were put into care. However no member of Linda's immediate family were provided with the information to all the whereabouts of their nieces and nephews. For example, our dear mother was told Linda's 2 eldest children were fostered together, we now know this to be untrue. One of her eldest children was adapted without CONSENT. Tragedy followed Linda's life until the day of her death in 2007. The full story can be viewed.

My Name is Lynda and i was recently on Primetime investigates talking about my brother who also died in the care of the hse, i read the hse said danny was 19 so was not in there care, my brother was 17 and was in there care so what do they have to say about that? These children are under the "care" of the hse who are acting as "so called parents" but yet when anything happens they are quick to point the finger back at the family that they were quick to take them away from, also they then start to talk about the families past...whats there past got to do with the obvious neglect of the kids even when in care? Our system is in a shambles, the majority of the social workers are a law unto themselves, they dont return calls, there apparently always in meetings when called. My mother or myself have no criminal record, no mental health issues and have never been drug users yet 4 yrs after my brothers death still have supervised access yet there are addicts the length and breath of dublin walkin around at all hours with there kids?! The system needs a shake up and someone needs to be held accountable for these CHILDREN. They have no schooling system organised for them, no mandatory activities for them its no wonder they turn to crime. My brother went in at 14 and had never been in trouble with the law, then the Hse are quick to write them off as trouble makers and law breakers. if they placed them somewhere straight away with boundaries and activities the majority of these CHILDREN would flourish and not break the law and start drinking and taking drugs. The lack of supervision is appaling.

Hi Folks, Having read about Danny, Linda and Maria's stories I felt compelled to leave a message. The abhorrent behaviour of those representing the institution of the H.S.E. and the total disrespect for human life they have shown in these cases and many others, and i suppose most disturbingly they continue to do so, is at best, the most disgusting case of negligence we are ever likely to see. It's extremely hard to stomach the fact these people are still in the positions of care and trust which they hold and therefore are free to continue this unacceptable practice. We are all aware that human beings are not perfect and can make mistakes from time to time, but these people are supposed to be trained professionals and have the welfare of others to upkeep. Unfortunatley what we have here is an unwillingness to admit mistakes or ask for help when they are made. Another organization springs to mind when i think of the code of silence you come up against when asking questions of them and that organization is known around the world as the Mafia. How brave ye are in this time of grief to make a stand against these criminals, and make no mistake about it, this is exactly what ye are dealing with here. I pray justice will be gained for these people and many others too as i'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg. Don't worry girls, it may at times be daunting to look at the H.S.E. and think how can we prevail against these, but take solace from the story of David and Goliath, and always remeber that with the good Lord by your side and the Holy Spirit guiding you, nothing is impossible. God Bless you all and may justice be done, in Jesus' name. Amen.

It is with relief that I read and follow all you have been doing in respect of the lives of your sister and nephew. You are voicing what many have been keeping quiet about, not because they are leaving it to someone else, but because they have been trying for so long themselves to get answers, and have felt worn out and gave up. You are now giving them strength to speak their minds and act, thank God. You are wonderful people, you are the voice that that has been waited on. Well done and I pray that your campaign will stir the stagnant waters which have been lying idle for too long.

Hi girls, It's been a while since I left my last message but I've seen, heard and read so much in the media that i felt compelled to again offer my support. My comments I leave are based on information I've read in newspapers, heard on the various radio programmes and also from seeing the T.V. programmes which have been brave enough to champion this tragic story. I have seen in the paper that Health Board staff who called on Danny and Joe while in the care of Paddy Talbot assumed both boys were being abused. YET THEY DID NOT ACT. When placed in Foster Care Danny did not settle and ran away many times, during a meeting with social workers regarding this issue Danny was so distressed he put his fist through a window and required hospital treatment. I must ask the question, why did Danny not settle, why was he running away and why was he so distressed that he felt he couldn't talk and instead lashed out in this way. Has this foster family been properly and intensively assessed, if not I can only pray they no longer are foster carers for any child. Poor Maria, still denied access to one of her siblings, this is an utter disgrace, it seems it would be easier to find someone in the witness protection program than for the H.S.E. to allow siblings to meet, as I've said before the H.S.E. are unfortunately a legalized Mafia, riddled with incompetence and cover ups. That girl must travel from Carlisle for two hours a month with her own flesh and blood, this is an outrage. The Lamb family have still received no contact from the H.S.E. regarding Danny's tragic death, Disgusting. It's been widely reported that the H.S.E. is to recruit much more social workers, (over 200 I believe) If the money is there as they say it is, what on Earth is the delay. This may however be a blessing in disguise as the existing ones are a joke, while there are undoubtedly some good people in this organization there are far too many who lack the skills, or maybe the will to carry out their duties to an acceptable level, this includes principal social workers, childcare managers and team leaders, are these the monkeys who are expected to show the new recruits the ropes. Some of the first few lines on Minister Barry Andrews website says "Children now have a stronger voice on issues that affect them, through the minister for children, Barry Andrews TD, who attends cabinet meetings". I put it to Minister Andrews if children do indeed have a stronger voice surely this means he needs a massive hearing aid as he seems clueless to what's going on around him. A supposedly educated man who is a qualified Barrister yet allows himself to make such remarks on air, when questioned in relation to the death of a child that you can't please everyone. This shows his lack of empathy and compassion and how can we have someone who is so devoid of emotion as our Minister for Children. Barry Andrews has held his post since May 2008, I'm sure not just the Lamb family but others like the Mcanaspie family and the Fay family to mention but two would like to know why their voices were not heard and are still being ignored to this day. I watched TV3 the morning Sandra and Donna were on talking about the H.S.E. along with a rep from I.S.P.C.C. and listened in horror as Donna described how she had Danny living with her but failed to get the support of the social workers. Enough is enough, people need to be held accountable for these tragic deaths. How can it be that people entrusted with the welfare of children are allowed to abuse this position and face no consequence for their actions. Girls i take my hat off to you for being a voice for those who can no longer speak, a voice for those who were ignored when they did speak and a voice for justice all children, a voice for the future. God bless, may you continue to be guided by the Holy Spirit and to do Christ's work, in Jesus' name. Amen
